8.13.2008Recycled Newspaper Hut Many thanks to Billie and Tootie for the warm welcome yesterday! I can't wait 'til school is back in session this fall and we can start sharing more details about the wide array of hands-on d.i.y. classes we'll be offering. 'Til then though, I thought I would share some fun stuff I come across while surfing the web. Perfect example: the super cool project pictured above, which comes from Pepper Paints. This kid-sized hut is made from recycled newspapers held together with easy to find materials like tape and staples. Drape a cotton sheet over the whole shebang and you have a fun hideout for the kidlets! (Am I crazy to want to make one of these for my cats?) —Jenny 8.12.2008Meet Mrs. Ryan Mrs. Ryan, known to most of you as Jenny (of Felt Club/Craft Mag. fame), will be heading our new Home Ec department here at ReForm School. Look for a roster of craft & d.i.y. classes starting this fall at the shop. Jenny will also be contributing to our School News blog. This is one of many exciting new changes we have in store...so stay tuned! Sustainable L.A If you're in the LA area this coming Sunday, please stop by our booth at the Sustainable LA street fair. There will be panel discussions, screenings at the MoCA, bike stuff, kids stuff.... All kinds of good stuff! It's going to be a great time! 8.05.2008Couple With Dog Our new Student Of The Month is here!! It feels like it has been ages but we finally have some new stuff up in the shop including this fantastic print by Shelly Klein of Kstudio. It's her very first print and isn't it lovely? It's totally affordable too! Also new to the shop are these great sustainable wood puzzles for kids. The quality is amazing.  Check out the site for lots of other new goodies too like stationery, tees, toys and more.. Tootie Freaks Out!Here's a video we thought you guys would enjoy.
