These scissors have been made in India by a family that has been making scissors for generations. The blades are hand-forged carbonized steel and the handle is cast brass. Each scissor signed by the maker.

In addition to having great decorative appeal, these scissors are excellent utilitarian tools for the home and office. Due to their potential to rust they are not recommended as gardening tools. To prevent the steel from rusting a thin coat of oil has been applied to the blades. If used regularly the scissors will not rust, but when not used a thin coat of vegetable or mineral oil will keep them rust free.
